Company History
SIMPOE, a company born from the combination of unique technical and business expertise
Key to the SIMPOE history and development was the encounter in 1998 of Dr CHIOU, a Taiwanese national and worldwide expert in plastic injection simulation, author of numerous papers on the subject, with Alain DUBOIS, a CADCAM veteran who is a French citizen by birth and from Chinese family origin. A long lasting relationship developed during those years during Alain’s numerous trips to Asia. Alain, who, among other achievements, successfully developed the mainstream simulation markets for both SRAC ( developer of Cosmos software) and Nika (developer of EFD Labs) , came to realize there was a need for an easy to use, easy to learn and affordable solution for plastic injection simulation for the mainstream market. So together with CHIOU, they decided to launch Simpoe-Mold® on a worldwide basis.
Their extensive market research validated their market projections and, with the support of business angels, they created at the end of 2004 SIMPOE SAS. SIMPOE SAS is a French company having the ownership of Simpoe-Mold® technology; its headquarters are located in the suburbs of Paris.
In the meantime, another CADCAM veteran had joined the SIMPOE project, Thierry LEROY, the first international employee of PTC who , during his 13 years tenure with the developer of Pro/ENGINEER®, had been instrumental in the international development of PTC to a billion dollars company.
Today, SIMPOE is an established and fast growing company, with international offices and numerous sales partners in Europe, Asia and the United States
